Juneau's Schools of Promise Initiative Targeted to Help Schools with Greatest Need

Montana Schools of Promise is a partnership between schools, communities and the Office of Public Instruction to improve Montana’s most struggling schools. In communities across Montana, parents, families and caregivers share the hope that their children will graduate from high school and be prepared to go on to college or enter the workforce. Denise Juneau saw that too many students leave Montana schools without the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed. That’s why she’s teaming up with local schools to take advantage of the federal School Improvement Grant (SIG). The grant is designed to give priority to schools that are in greatest need of increased student achievement.  Read more in the Billings Gazette.
